Image mode for Red Hat Enterprise Linux makes the operating system as easy to build, ship, and run as any container. This session will expand on the previous webinar and help accelerate creating your first image. Whether your workloads are RPMs or containers and your building appliances or managing a SaaS solution, image mode provides a simple approach. This session will go deeper on the technical side and explore how to get to a CI/CD driven infrastructure. Workloads – RPMs and App Containers: Image mode works great regardless of how you package your workload. We will discuss two primary approaches: RPMs & application containers Moving the status quo into a Containerfile: We will look at a real life example for one of our ISVs and how this may relate to your workloads. Scaling automation and crossing silos: We will offer concrete examples of CI pipelines that you can adopt or adapt. We'll walk through various scenarios, demonstrating how CI tools (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins, Tekton) can be configured to automate builds, tests, and deployments for RHEL-based applications.
